can you tell me, do I end up,
do I end up happy?
Is happily ever after just a cliche?
Will mine ever come?
Questions that have haunted my mind since I knew I existed.
I'm tired of the statistics, the averages...
I know what the world says
That it only happens in movies
OR
within the pages of those "fictional" children's books
No matter what life decides to throw at me
it will never extinguish
the hope of little girls like me
that someday, somehow
my happily ever after
will come.
even if it does say
in the fine print: (eventually, date still pending)
