Don't Push Me..

Cause I'm close to the edge.
I should probably rephrase that though
and
say that I WAS close to the edge, but
just in the nick of time
I was cut a break and a half.
(through some truly divine intervention)
Today has been wonderful.
I have been so blessed.
And as usual all I can do is look up, smile and say...
Thank you...for everything.

Remember friends although sometimes it may seem that all is lost...
the Lord is always mindful us
and
things will happen when they're supposed to.

Love,
Emily Sue

Lost in my mind.

I'm not quite sure anyone even reads my blog anymore, but for those of you who haven't quite given up on me.
Thank you and I apologize.
Things have been CRAZY busy lately and even though that sounds terribly cliche it is 100% true.
So true....that I feel that amidst all of the rushing stressful business surrounding me I feel lost. Perhaps not literally lost, but more so just..
Lost in my mind.
I don't know where I am and I can't seem to find myself lately.
(I know that sounds a bit melancholy)
but you can rest assured that despite being lost and feeling like
I have run head first into a brick wall....
that
I am determined to find myself once again.
Not sure how....but I'm gonna keep on trying till it sticks...
wish me luck.

Love,
Emily Sue

P.S. I apologize for the downer of a blog post. I promise to compensate for it soon.

Terrific Tuesday.

If you do the will of the Lord...
you will
BE BLESSED!
immensly
so immensly.
I have been trying hard lately to follow and accept the will of the Lord in my life.
(which is usually difficult for me because patience is not usually my strongsuit)
Last Tuesday, through all the stress from life, I was given a break.
An extreme pay off of recent determined effort happened.
I was overwhelmed with tremendous blessings.

Tuesday, September 27,2011
Three amazing things happened:

(1) I was picked up by a Biochemistry Lab here at Utah State to do Undergraduate Research
-(it was amazing Dr. Johnson emailed me, interviewed me, and that day
I was given a position in his lab)
For anybody who knows my future goals this one is huge.

The first week of school I interviewed for a phlebotomist job
at the Plasma Center in Logan Utah....
I was admitted to their second step of the hiring process two days later
and then!
I didn't hear from them for 4 weeks.... (ugh...it was so frustrating)
but then this same Tuesday I received a phone call from them
telling me I had a second interview and we were going to check hours
the next day I was OFFICIALLY hired!
So number (2) was I got a job!!! Doing Phlebotomy, which I love.
(3) I am going to New York

on a whim?
YES.
on a college budget?
YES.
with no adults?
YES
to see a special premier of my favorite show?
YES.
(my whole life I have wanted to go two places New York & Italy)
I fly out tonight on a red eye flight.....
saying that I am ecstatic would be a huge understatement.

then I received a sweet selfless cherry on top of my Terrific Tuesday...
I had already had one of the most amazing yet tiring days and was studying alone in my apartment when I got a knock on my door.
When I answered it,
the sweetest simple note
cinnamon rolls
and
a jar of beautiful sunflowers.
(hence the picture)
I loved it.
It was the nicest gesture and just what I needed.
(don't tell anyone, but it was so nice it made me cry)

I know that the Lord had a hand in all of these wonderful blessings.
Did I deserve them?
Probably not.
But the Lord loves us and is just waiting to bless us and does bless us each and everyday. All of His actions are for our benefit and although it may not always seem like it...
they are. So trust in the Lord..
He will not lead you astray and know that He blesses you each and everyday.

Love,
Emily Sue

P.S. Sorry I haven't blogged...life has been crazy this is just a small update on my life more is to come.

    College Legos.

Ever since I was little, I have loved putting things together.
My most recent project was a desk chair that I bought from IKEA.
(aka the land of confusing unfinished furniture)
I couldn't wait to put it together. :)

Success!! Can't wait to use it this semester in college.
Is it sad that this is how I spent my Saturday night?
    Maybe.
    But I loved it.
I felt just like a little kid again.
     Love,
    Emily Sue

    P.S. Did I mention...I love legos? & Always have.

    My Emotions.

Lately my emotions have been running around rampant
    like hyper little children.
I can't control them and they can't control themselves.
They like to take me on horrible heart wrenching rollercoaster rides....
that make me want to see my lunch again.
I wish I could get them under control....
Put them down for a nap...
but instead I find my self yelling things like:
    careful that's hot!
    ahh not mommy's new toothbrush
    clean up after yourself!
    Enough is Enough!
If you don't stop crying I am gonna give you something to cry about!
How many times to I have to tell you NO!?
....at my many crazy metaphorical children.

Love a metaphorical emotionally drained mother,

    Vampire Weekday.

My tan this summer has suffered dramatically.
Compared to the other summers of my life I am pathetically white.
This is all probably due to the fact that
I have been spending quite a few of my summer days
indoors with a needle in someone else's arm.
You could say that this summer I have become quite the professional vampire.
I take other peoples' blood for a job.
    Is this creepy?
    Maybe.
    Do I love it though?
    ABSOLUTELY.
    150 blood draws and counting.

    Love your blood drawing friend,
    Emily Sue

P.S. Despite my new found love of blood drawing....I still don't like Twilight. (Harry Potter fan for life!!!)

    fresh footsteps.

    GO WHERE YOU'VE NEVER BEEN.
"Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known"
    - Carl Sagan

-I've had the wonderful pleasure this summer
of going places I've never been
    and
    doing things I've never done.
    It is absolutely exhilarating.
    I love it.

Hope you too have taken a step out
of your warm comfort zone this summer
    and taken the opportunity to
    truly broaden your horizons.
Doing so will only make your
    world bigger and brighter.

    Love,
    Emily Sue
